Campus chief attacked

LAHAN:

Anil Kumar Jha, the chief of JS Muraraka Campus, Lahan, was injured when a group of three khukuri-wielding persons attacked him at his house in Lahan municipality-4 on Friday night. A Bachelor-level student of the campus, who had failed in the exams, was involved in the attack, Jha said, adding that the group attacked him after the student said he was to blame for his failure. Other attackers were wearing masks. — HNS

School admission drive

NAWALPARASI:

A student admission campaign is to be launched in Nawalparasi from Baisakh 2-15, 2062, to help bring children deprived of education to schools, it was informed at a district-level introductory programme organised at Parasi by the district education office, Nawalparasi, on Friday. Some 12 per cent of children in the district are deprived of education. The rate of admission has, however, increased to 88 percent from the 79 per cent in 2058 BS. — RSS
