KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court today upheld the government’s decision to provide security and other facilities to deposed King Gyanendra Shah. A division bench of justices Min Bahadur Rayamajhi and Prakash Wasti observed that it was a policy decision of the executive, not requiring the SC intervention. Bhupendra Prasad Pokharel had filed a writ petition against the decision one-and-a-half years back.
