GAIGHAT: Nine year old Asmita Chaudhary, a resident of Bagaha in Udaypur’s Triyuga Municipality-8, has grown unusually fatter at so tender an age. “I am facing difficulties in my daily activities,” she said. Barely nine and Asmita already weighs 65 kg. According to Asmita’s father Satyanarayan, his daughter started gaining weights since her second birthday. The chagrined father said Asmita was frequently in tension and embarrassed by her abnormal size. “She even falls unconscious once or twice a week,” he said. The girl has been studying in Grade IV in a local primary school. Due to obesity, her education has been hampered and the Chaudhary family has been a worried lot. Satyanarayan said that the doctors in Biratnagar had told him that Asmita has been fat because of water in her head and back. The doctors have however said she could be out of problems if treated. Satyanarayan has appealed all to assist him financially for the treatment of his daughter.
