SARLAHI: Cadres of CPN-Maoist led by Matrika Yadav have seized land and crops of a local in Shankargunj, Bhaktipur -6, on Tuesday. The CPN-M cadres seized 22 bighas of land of Ajaya Pradhan, who had been living in the US for long. The Maoists have erected their party flags in the land. Meanwhile, District in-charge of the party Suresh Shah said,'' We seized the land as per party policy,' adding,'' We will distribute it to the landless people.'' However, Sarlahi Chief District Officer, Baliram Prasad Singh said,'' The act is illegal and action will be taken against those involved.''
