Pant NB Bank’s new CEO
KATHMANDU: Shovan Dev Pant, a senior banker involved in the banking service for last 16 years, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd with effect from April 14. Earlier, Pant had worked as CEO of Nabil Bank Ltd and consultant for the Loan Structuring Expert of the new management of Nepal Bank Ltd. — HNS
Mushroom farming
NAWALPARASI: Mushroom farming is catching on with the farmers in Nawalparasi. Earlier, mushrooms were imported from Chitwan and India but now the production in the district is enough to meet the demand in the local market. Mushroom sells for Rs 100-120 per kg. — RSS
Indo-Pak trade ties bloom
NEw DELHI: In the four years since Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf last visited India, bilateral trade between the two countries has grown three-fold from a very low base, responding slowly to the positive signals. There has been no big upswing though, notwithstanding the warmth in their relations in the last two years, particularly after their peace process began in Islamabad in January last year. — HNS
