Gachhadar inaugurates fast track

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Planning and Works Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar on Monday inaugurated Kathmandu-Nijgadh fast-track amidst a function at Budune of Makawanpur district. The government has already sanctioned Rs 250 million for the construction of 76-km road. The government also released Rs 10 million to the Directorate of Development and Military Engineering Service of the Nepal Army (NA), which is going to deploy a battalion of army personnel to undertake the fast track project. The construction will begin from Malta, Lalitpur and Budune from Monday. The track is expected to be completed within two years. Earlier, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal was supposed to inaugurate the function but he could not attain the programme due to his poor health.
