MUMBAI: Sharmila Tagore and a first love story, Soha is happy that she got to do so many firsts this year.

“It has been an eventful year so far. There are many things which I did for the first time and I enjoyed doing all those,” says Soha in a jubilant spirit.

The actor loves to explore the nooks and corners of any city that she visits when she is on a promotional tour. However, when she was in the city to promote her movie Tum Mile, the actor could not squeeze in time to get acquainted with the city. “It’s all about excitement when you are on a promotional tour. At the same time, I don’t get much time to relish the flavour of the city as the schedule is jam packed. It is so hectic that if I go to sleep in one city, I wake up in another city. And that’s life,” says Soha.

Quite articulate when it comes to expressing her thoughts, Soha who was an investment banker believes in adopting a liberal approach in life. And has she given a thought to getting married? “I am a very romantic person. But I tend to focus on what is the need of the hour and right now work is my priority,” says Soha who spills the beans that once she had a crush on Rahul Dravid. So, does she see a life partner in a cricketer? “No. Not really. There is still time. So far as cricket is concerned, I have had a chance to interact with Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan on my game show. I found Irfan quite charming. But never thought of tying a knot with a cricketer,” says the actor.

Having shared the screen along with her mother in the movie Life Goes On, Soha says that it has been a different experience. “She is a formidable woman. And she would know what my next step would be. And I had to stand up to her expectations.”

And Soha hopes that like her parents she too would age gracefully. “People say I have been gifted with features of both my parents. So, if it is in the genes, I too dream to age as gracefully as they did. So, I would apply as much moisturiser to keep my skin well toned.” Soha feels her small screen venture has let her learn many things in life. “Hosting a game show was quite rewarding. I learnt how to be a good host while I was doing the television show. I now host dinner parties with more confidence,” says Soha.

Soha loves to be in her pajamas and enjoy leisure time. And she loves to play racket games like badminton and tennis too. This apart, she loves to read. “I love reading Oscar Wilde, Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Kiran Nagarkar’s The Cuckold is my favourite book,” the actor signs off.
