TAPLEJUNG:VDC secretaries in Taplejung have brought their regular work to a standstill in protest against an attack on one of their colleagues Jagganath Guragain, secretary of Nangkhyolyang VDC of Taplejung, by Dambar Kumari and Rita Limbu, the local residents. The assailants had reportedly stormed the office and beat Guragain. Sita Ram Timilsina, the chairman of the Center for Protection of the Rights of VDC Secretaries, said that Guragain who was on duty in his own office, was attacked by the women with sticks and iron rod. Guragain has sustained head and nose injuries in the attack.
