KAPILVASTU: A Nepali boy who was sold a decade ago succeeded in returning home. Amar Shah of Kapileshwar of Sugamdhukari- 2 in Dhanusha was sold by local Munif Nadaf aka Munna to a Chandranagar-based press factory in New Delhi for work at the age of nine in 2057 BS. “One day, the factory owner gave me money to get cigarettes for him. Taking advantage of the hour, I fled,” said Shah. He said he never got a chance to observe a single ray of the sun during the working period. “After fleeing from the factory, I worked at a farmer’s home in one village for five months and arrived at Kapilvastu via Nepalgunj,” Shah said, adding, the village chief gave him IRs 4,000 to return to his homeland.
