'Nepali' stabbed KATHMANDU: A student was stabbed several times in the chest and abdomen in Sydney, Australia on Sunday. According to international news agencies, the 20-year-old student, believed to be from Nepal, was walking through a supermarket parking lot when he was attacked by a man who demanded money. The attacker stabbed him several times before fleeing. The victim has undergone surgery at St George Hospital, but the police still await his condition to improve to make enquiries. Bouddha Convention KATHMANDU: The tenth National Bouddha Convention is scheduled to be held in Lumbini beginning December 16. Dharmodaya Sabha, the organising committee on Sunday said that President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and Unified CPN- Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' have consented to inaugurate and conclude the three-day convention. On behalf of the organiser, the President will confer Dharmodaya Dharma award to Tilak Gawaju while Devendra Shakya is slated to present a working paper 'Lumbini Bikash ra Dhamal Acharan' the committee confirmed.
