TU passes proposal KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University assembly on Tuesday passed amendment proposal on rules pertaining to TU Teachers’ and Employees' Service. Prem Krishna Chittrakar, chief Information Department,TU, said that as per the amendment, out of total quota that will be announced for free competition, fifty per cent would be allocated for different groups so as to make TU inclusive. Shirdi Sai rally KATHMANDU: Shree Shirdi Sai Pariwar Nepal is all set to organise a rally-cum-worshipping programme at Agrawal Bhawan, Kamalpokhari on December 12. According to SSSPN, about 250 religious organisations, 50 educational institutions and 45 Satya Sai centres would take part in the programme. The organiser in a statement said that the programme would begin at 7 am in the morning and conclude at 7 pm in the evening. SSSPN had been organising such programme for three years now, the statement added. Sharma's hearing KATHMANDU: The parliamentary hearing of the proposed Chief Justice Anup Raj Sharma on Tuesday was put off again. Chairman of the hearing committee, KB Gurung rescheduled the meeting for Thursday due to the lack of minimal attendance of members. Meanwhile, journalists were barred from entering Singha Durbar early on Tuesday morning. The police prevented journalists, who were there for the reporting, citing orders from above. However, they were allowed entrance later. Health projects Kathmandu: Only 12 out of 44 health projects under the Ministry of Health and Population achieved their target last fiscal year. According to the annual evaluation report of development projects prepared by the ministry, two of the 43 projects submitted their incomplete reports. The report showed only 14 projects achieved 90 to 99 per cent while 10 projects were able to achieve 75 to 89 per cent of the target. Health minister Uma Kanta Chaudhary said the ministry had been unable to spend the funds.
