India ask Sri Lanka to bat in final one-dayer

NEW DELHI: Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and sent Sri Lanka in to bat in the fifth and final one-day international here on Sunday. India, enjoying an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series, rested star batsman Sachin Tendulkar and brought in seamer Sudeep Tyagi for his one-day debut. The start was delayed by 15 minutes due to winter fog over the Indian capital, but it will remain a 50-overs-a-side game at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground.
