KATHMANDU: India’s leading flooring brand Green Floormax Flooring and RIPL International jointly conducted a one-day seminar called ‘Installers’ Meet 2017’ where installers were trained on the professional method for fitting parquet.

The programme was chaired by Anil Kedia, chairman, Kedia Organisation. The main objective of the programme was to develop professional installers in Nepal who can lay or fit parquet flooring in a professional way and meet the professional standards of customer service, as per a press statement. Thirty-five selected fitters from Kathmandu Valley participated in the meet. They were trained by engineer Gaurab Das from Greenply India.He highlighted professional method of fitting parquet where fitters must consider points like ground labelling, maintaining adequate gap for expansion and contraction and specialised method for profiling. He also highlighted that fitters must be careful about direction of sunlight while laying parquet for optimum life and excellent looks.
