OPPO enters the industry

OPPO Mobile, the smartphone brand was introduced in the Nepali market for the first time on September 12 amongst media and tech enthusiasts. The grand event hosted at Hotel Yak & Yeti saw guests from all fields eager to witness the launch.

The 15 year-old brand has gained popularity in over 20 countries. It has come up with pioneering products and entered the Nepali market with a bang. MD of Telecell Pvt Ltd, Sunil Kumar says, “This launch event of OPPO mobiles is history in the making. It is going to change the mobile industry.”

Joined by the CEO of OPPO Nepal, Johnny Ge, the presentations by their Brand Manager and Product Manager engrossed the audience with its growth, expansion and market share. They further shared how the company is focussed on customer satisfaction and mentioned that they intend to set up 500 retailer outlets, eight experience stores within one year in Nepal. Their ‘30 Days 1 to 1 exchange’ offer certainly sets a benchmark in the industry.

Their celebrated model Selfie expert — F1s has a 5.5-inch screen with great viewing angles and a comfortable grip. Its octa-core MT6750 processor is backed up by a 3GB RAM and a 32GB ROM which is expandable. With a 16MP front camera, 13MP rear camera, Selfie Panorama feature and beautification features, there won’t be a single picture without depth and detail.

And today we are carrying this legacy forward and stepping up the selfie revolution, by launching the Selfie Expert — F1s to share advanced photography technology with the Nepali consumers and also offer them an outstanding photographic experience,” says Johnny Ge, CEO of OPPO Nepal.

The smartphone is accompanied by a 3075mAh battery, assuring the perfect selfie along with a longer battery life adding convenience to consumers. It runs on ColorOS 3.0 and has a lightning fast fingerprint sensor for added security and accessibility. This dual SIM phone is priced at Rs 32,390 and the company expects to sell about 25,000 sets in the first quarter.

OPPO A37 is equipped with two high-performing cameras giving users a great picture-taking experience even in low-light conditions. It has a 5-inch display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and is supported by 2GB RAM and a Quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon processor for seamless multitasking. With an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, the phone supports Beautify 4.0 technology and Palm Shutter, minimising noise. It is available for Rs 21,590 at stores near you.

The OPPO Neo 7 has a sleek, reflective rear surface with attractive designs as an entry-level smartphone. It has a 5-inch IPS display and is supported by a 1.3GHz processor and 1GB RAM, 16GB ROM. With 2420mAh battery the device contains a wide range of plug-ins for customised camera functionality. The smartphone is available in the market at Rs 14,990.

Nepali actors Reecha Sharma and Karma Shakya who attended the event had a hands-on experience with the F1s, sharing their selfie experience at the event. The launch of the F1s was followed by the introduction of the OPPO Neo 7 and A37. Everyone gathered as models and officials from the company flaunted the newly launched OPPO smartphones on stage. The event ended on a high note with a lucky draw, three fortunate members of the audience received exciting gift hampers from OPPO.
