KATHMANDU: Premier Organics Pvt Ltd, a joint venture company between Sharda Group and Rathi Group, has been set up with an initial investment in excess of Rs one billion at Duhabi, Sunsari.

The state-of-the-art plant is slated to manufacture Grain based Extra Neutral Alcohol (GENA), which will be used to manufacture various types of alcohol like vodka, whisky, rum, gin, etcetera, as per a press statement issued on Wednesday.

It will also be sold to other alcohol manufacturers in Nepal and will dispel the import of GENA, thus also making Nepal self-reliant. The plant will also generate employment for over 500 people from the factory’s catchment area.
