World Bank team interacts with Kaski farmers

KATHMANDU: A World Bank team, which is in Nepal to support the Project for Agriculture Commercialisation and Trade (PACT) run by the Ministry of Agricultural Development, recently interacted with farmers of Kaski district.

The 14th WB Implementation Support Mission led by WB Task Team Leader Patrick Verissimo had interacted with the grant recipients of four sub-projects as the team monitored the PACT-supported sub-projects in Rupakot, Lekhanath, Sardikhola and Pokhara of Kaski district.

PACT Director Indra Kanta Jha had also joined the monitoring team.

Meanwhile, the project held its annual review workshop in Pokhara in the presence of WB mission on Sunday.

The World Bank team along with representatives from the Food and Agricultural Organisation and the PACT were present on the occasion.

The WB team had stayed in the popular tourism hub from Friday to Sunday.

The mission is scheduled to hold various discussions with government officials in Kathmandu till the end of this week.

PACT is a WB-funded project run by the MoAD since 2009.
