MUMBAI: Sunny Leone has hit back at India’s CPI leader Atul Kumar Anjan for saying that a condom advertisement featuring the actress would lead to an increase in rape cases in the country. Leone has urged “people of power” to focus on helping those in need instead.

“Sad when people of power waste their time and energy on me, instead of focusing on helping those in need!!! #SHAME #EPICFAIL,” Leone, a former adult film star, wrote on Twitter on September 3.

Anjan claimed that Leone’s condom advertisement will trigger the tendency among men to commit rapes and that it was developing sexuality and ruining sensibilities. Known for doing explicit scenes in Bollywood films, Leone will be next seen in Mastizaade.
