Two injured in separate gang attacks

KATHMANDU: A 21-year-old youth was reportedly attacked and injured by a gang of three in Bagbazaar of Kathmandu, on Thursday night.

Police said Sagar Paudel, a permanent resident of Kusmisera-5 of Bajhang district, was attacked in front of the Ramailo Dohori Sanjh on the street in Bagbazaar, KMC-31.

Critically injured in the incident, Paudel was sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajganj, for treatment, according to police.

Meanwhile, police nabbed two persons in connection with the case.

In another incident, Chandra Bahadur Katuwal aka Lal (38) from Chhopedol, Nagarjun-6 of Kathmandu was attacked with a sharp weapon on Thursday evening.

He has been taken to the Gwarko-based B&B Hospital, according to police.

The law enforcement body arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in the attack.

Local police are investigating into both the cases.
