4 thefts reported in Valley

KATHMANDU: Police said four theft cases were reported from various places of the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday.

Property worth Rs 200,000, including gold jewellery and Rs 25,000 cash, was stolen from an unattended house of Prem Sharma at Narayaneshwor Marga of Baneshwor, KMC-10 yesterday.

In a similar case, valuables worth Rs 222,000 including Rs 30,000 cash and gold ornaments were stolen from the unattended rented room of Dibyeshwori Acharya at the Amar Deep Marga, KMC-34.

In Lalitpur, Rs 2,000 cash, mobile phone, speaker and gold jewellery were stolen from the room of Manisha Aslami in Bahiratar, Bajrabarahi-12.

Police said the loss amounted to Rs 195,000.

Yet in another similar case, the rented room of Ram Mani Panthi was targeted by unidentified thieves in Gurusingal, LSMC-1 yesterday.

They took away property worth Rs 300,000 including Rs 37,000 cash and gold ornaments.

While looking for the suspects, police are investigating into four cases.
