KATHMANDU: Police on Wednesday arrested an absconding convict of a government seal and signature forgery case, from Chyasal in Lalitpur.

A team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police nabbed Naresh Awale (38) of Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-9.

It has been reported that Awale had escaped the Kathmandu District Court's order that had sentenced him to one-year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50 on November 20, 2011 after traffic police on duty had detained Awale on July 8, 2011 from a van (Ba 2 Cha 5052).

He was found in possession of a fake driving licence bearing the registration number 006830602 issued on his name.

Meanwhile, with Kathmandu District Court's order, Awale has been sent to the Central Jail Jagannathdeval , Sundhara for execution of the sentence today.
