Bangladesh security officials meet PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: A delegation of Bangladesh security officials met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter's official residence, in Kathmandu, on Wednesday.

During the meeting, PM Dahal expressed his gratitude towards Bangladesh for the support and cooperation it contributed for the post-earthquake rescue and relief in Nepal.

"Government of Nepal is thankful for the support and cooperation from the Bangladesh Government, security mechanisms and people after the devastating earthquake," a statement issued by the PM's Secretariat quoted Dahal as telling the Bangladeshi delegation.

Saying that both Nepal and Bangladesh have been facing natural disasters frequently, Dahal also expressed his interest in exchanging such experiences between the two countries for rescue, relief and reconstruction.

In the meeting, Bangladesh's security officials also said that they were interested to move together to establish better relations as well as to face common problems in the coming days.
