DPM Rawal briefs President on losses from natural disasters

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Bhim Bahadur Rawal today met President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the latter’s office, Sheetal Niwas, to brief about losses induced by recent natural disasters.

In the meeting, Minister Rawal briefed the President about the losses induced by floods and landslides in past few days around the country, informed the President’s Office.

Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun was also present on the occasion.

Rawal also updated the Head of the State about efforts being made for rescue and rehabilitation programmes by the government at different levels.

President Bhandari has told the DPM to leave no stone unturned in the rescue programmes from the government’s side, the Office added.
