KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) said it has arrested two persons, including an official stationed at the Department of Foreign Employment, along with Rs 1 million from Bijulibazaar of Kathmandu.

Section Officer Ramesh Lamichhane allegedly demanded the amount as bribe from a service seeker for providing registration certificate to a new foreign employment agency.

The CIAA said in a statement that a special team deployed from the CIAA arrested Lamichhane and another man, identified as Anil Poudel, who had gone to handover the bribe to him from a restaurant today.
