Constitution amendment isn't what people demand, says Oli

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML Chairman and main opposition leader at the Parliament, KP Sharma Oli, said the demand of Constitution amendment was put forth by Nepali people.

Concluding a five-day training programme organised by the party's Central School Department for the Central Committee of Press Chautari Nepal, an organisation of UML-aligned journalists, Oli said the amendment was demanded to push the Constitution amendment into the shadow and block Nepal's journey towards prosperity.

"Now, there is no need of amendment," Oli said, "It is not good to think how one can keep Nepalis in confusion, trap them, one after another."

Meanwhile, Oli said the erstwhile government led by him was toppled after it initiated attempts for prosperity.
