Dahal again calls on split-away groups to join unification process

KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has called on those political forces and groups split from the mainstream of the Maoist movement to join the unification process.

Speaking at a programme at the party central office at Paris Danda today, Dahal requested them to join the party unification process respecting people's sentiments.

He urged his old friend and Naya Shakti Nepal's coordinator Dr Baburam Bhattarai, and leftist leaders Mohan Baidya and Netra Bikram Chand to make their comebacks to the party what he echoed for completing the journey towards socialism together.

The former Prime Minister expressed the confidence that the left government constituted following the attainment of a comfortable two-third majority in the election would work as per the people's aspirations.

On the occasion, he welcomed Naya Shakti Nepal's Gorkha district-level leaders and cadres who joined the party, quitting their association with the previous one.
