Deuba expresses commitment to unite Nepali Congress

KATHMANDU: Newly elected Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba expressed his commitment that he would unite the party by ending all sorts of factional politics at the earliest.

He was speaking at a programme organised by the Nepal Congress District Working Committee Kathmandu to congratulate newly elected office bearers and Central Working Committee members in the Capital on Wednesday.

During the programme, the three-time Prime Minister said that he would unite the party instead of sharing the power randomly.

"Though the Constitution was promulgated after the long wait, the Madhesi people are dissatified regarding the issue of demarcation of provincial boundaries," Deuba said, adding," The implementation of Constitution by resolving the issue of provincial boundaries will be a Herculean task. The Nepali Congress should take the responsibility for the same."

Newly elected General Secretary Shashanka Koirala and Treasurer Sita Devi Yadav also aired their views during the programme.
