DPM Thapa off to New York

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kamal Thapa is leaving for the United States on Tuesday to attend the UN debate on Sustainable Development Goals, in New York.

He is leading a five member delegation comprising Nepal’s Permanent Representative to the UN Durga Prasad Bhattarai.

Three officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology are accompanying him.

According to Thapa’s PR and Communication Adviser Mohan Shrestha, he will attend the high-level thematic debate on achieving Sustainable Development Goals on April 21 and also take part in the signing ceremony of the Paris Agreement on April 22.
