KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 110,000 was destroyed in a fire which was sparked from gas leak in a grocery shop in Magargaun, Karyabinayak-3 of Lalitpur district on Friday.

The shop owned by Ganga Thapa Magar had caught fire, destroying a television set, clothes and other groceries, according to police.

A fire engine assisted by locals and police contained the fire.

Further investigation is underway.
