KATHMANDU: A government vehicle was torched while another was vandalised in Naya Baneshwor of Kathmandu on Friday.

Police said the Scorpio (Ba 2 Jha 1392) was torched while it was parked in front of the Alfa Beta Institute.

The law enforcement body said it was not clear who carried out the arson attack.

Meanwhile, police said another government vehicle (Ba 2 Jha 1055) was vandalised by an unidentified gang in Naya Maneshwor.

The vehicle of the driver said he was stopped by the gang before its windscreen was smashed.

Further investigations into both cases are underway.
