Govt preparing to fill vacant posts next week
Kathmandu, August 11
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is preparing to fill vacant political and constitutional posts, including those of National Reconstruction Authority next week.
The prime minister’s chief political adviser Bishnu Rimal told The Himalayan Times that the government would recommend nominees for various constitutional posts, ambassadors and also the chief executive officer of NRA next week.
He said the government would also nominate chief of National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission.
“These days the government is busy holding discussion on bills related to fundamental rights which will have to be endorsed through the Parliament by September 18. The government will fill key vacant posts soon,” added Rimal.
The Sher Bahadur Deuba government had appointed Baikuntha Aryal as the acting chief of the commission in December last year. The Intergovernmental Fiscal Management Act has made provisions for four types of grants—fiscal equalisation, conditional, matching and special—for states and local bodies.
The act has guided methodology and formula for the distribution of value added tax and excise duty among the three tiers of government including mountaineering, electricity, forests, mines and minerals and others.
