Indian teen robbed of 11 tola gold in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: A gang of teenagers on Sunday robbed a 15-year-old Indian boy of 11 tola gold from Sankata of Kathmandu.

Police said Sagar Chand from Calcutta of India was heading to Sankata from the New Road-based Be United Gold Mart while the gang of three persons robbed him of the valuable yellow metal at an alley near the Sankata Temple.

Chand, who was apparently employed by the jewellery shop, was also beaten up by the gang, according to police.

While looking for the suspects, police are investigating into the case.
