KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu chapter of Nepal Press Union (NPU), a trade union organisation of democrat journalists, has staged a demonstration against the assault on photo journalist Kabin Adhikari while taking a picture in the Capital on Monday.

The Union demonstrated holding placards nearby Hanumanthan, outside the Singhadarbar, in the Capital and demanded that those involved in the incident should be brought to book and injured photo journalist should be provided treatment free of cost.

NPU Kathmandu Chapter President Nakul Aryal said the protest would continue if the action was not taken against the guilty.
