JC meeting Thursday to pick High Court judges

KATHMANDU: The Judicial Council meeting called for today to recommend 82 judges for seven provincial high courts has been postponed for Thursday.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajaya Shankar Nayak, who is also a JC member by the virtue of his office, informed that the meeting was postponed as some technical preparations were yet to be conducted for the recommendation.

The JC would pick judges from among officials of the Judiciary Service, serving government attorneys and district judges.
