KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested three teenage girls for their alleged involvement in an assault on a 15-year-old girl at Sattale Chok in Kapan of Budanilakhantha Municipality-12, on Wednesday.

Asmita Rai was beaten by Shital Gurung and Manata Shahi (both 19) and 16-year-old Anjum Sherpa following a minor dispute, according to police.

Injured Rai, who was initially taken to the Helping Hand Hospital, Chabahil for treatment was later referred to Mitrapark-based Dirghayu Hospital for treatment.

Police said they are investigating into the case.
