NC's Yadav, independent lawmaker Musalman, Pariwar Dal's Kandel file candidacies for Veep election

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Amiya Kumar Yadav filed his nomination for the election of Vice-President at the Legislature-Parliament on Friday.

NCĀ  Chief Whip Chinkaji Shrestha proposed his candidacy while Whip Iswori Neupane seconded it.

According to Sudarshan Kuinkel, deputy spokesperson for the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat, political parties can file candidacies for the post from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The voting for the post will be held from 11 am to 2 pm tomorrow.

The result of the election would be announced at 5 pm the same day.

Similarly, independent lawmaker Atahar Kamal Musalman also filed his candidacy for the election of Vice-President.

He won the election as an independent lawmaker from Kapilvastu Constituency No 2.

Lawmaker from the Akhanda Nepal Party, Kumar Khadka, proposed Musalman's candidacy while parliamentarian from Janajagaran Party Nepal, Lokmani Dhakal, seconded it.

Meanwhile, Nepal Pariwar Dal leader Dayaram Kandal also filed his nomination for the election of Vice-President.

Party's Chairman Eknath Dhakal proposed Kandel's candidacy and

Milan Kumari Rajbanshi seconded it.
