Dahal leaving for Delhi today

Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal is leaving for New Delhi tomorrow to attend a conference being organised by India Foundation.

Former Prime Minister Dahal will return to Kathmandu the same day, said his daughter Ganga.

Dahal will address the programme titled ‘citizens manifesto and ideological discourse’ in the fifth conclave of the India foundation scheduled to be held in New Delhi from Friday to Sunday.

The programme will be attended by more than 400 participants, including politicians, diplomats and intellectuals from 25 countries.

The foundation is led by Ram Madhav, general secretary of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

India Foundation had held a similar programme on July 31 in Kathmandu.

According to Dahal’s daughter Ganga, the  Nepal Communist Party (NCP) co-chair will be accompanied by his Private Secretary Jokha Bahadur Mahara.

“Nepal Communist Partu (NCP) co-chair wanted to cancel his Delhi trip due to lack of time but he did not do so because the organiser had already included his address in the programme. Dahal has no meeting planned with any political leaders in the Indian capital.
