Nepal receives prompt communication equipment from China

KATHMANDU: Nepal has received equipment useful for prompt communication at the time of disasters from a China-based private company.

Huawei International Pvt Ltd, the manufacturer of telecommunication devices, has handed the equipment to Minister for Information and Communications Minendra Rijal on Monday amidst a programme at the Ministry.

The market value of appliances received as grant assistance is Rs 60 million, said Ministry Spokesperson Purushottam Tiwari.

On the occasion, Minister Rijal thanked the company for its assistance during disaster-induced crisis in the country.
