KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sujata Koirala has stressed the need of holding the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies on the announced dates.

In her address to the Deusi Bhailo programme organised by the Reporters' Club at Mandikhatar on the occasion of the Tihar festival, on Friday, the daughter of former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress late President Girija Prasad Koirala, stated the NC was not panicked upon seeing the electoral alliance recently forged between the CPN-UML and the CPN Maoist Centre.

The former minister further expressed her hope that the country would win and witness sustainable development and economic progress once all elections were concluded.
