KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) on Thursday published a notice seeking expression of interest (EoI) from bidders for the import of petroleum products.

NOC said the notice was published as per the decision of the Cabinet to ease the supply of petroleum products including aviation fuel, petrol, diesel, kerosene and LPG (cooking gas) for 15 days.

Country is reeling under an acute shortage of fuel due to obstruction in supplies in the Nepal-India border for about two weeks.

The state-owned fuel monopoly has asked the interested bidders to submit their EoI within three days.

In the notice, NOC said it wants 200 kilolitre of diesel, 100 kilolitre of petrol, 200 kilolitre of ATF, 200 kilolitre of kerosene and 100 metric tonnes of LPG immediately supplied to it for 15 days either land or air route.
