Police may use lie detector test
KATHMANDU: Investigation into the murder of Ambassador Keshav Raj Jha appears to be making little headway, but the Metropolitan Police Crime Division, which probes crimes in the Kathmandu Valley, said they would reach a conclusion soon.
“We are doing a 360 degree investigation,” Senior Superintendent of Police Dhiraj Pratap Singh, at Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Teku, told THT.
The Crime Division took three persons — guard-cum-cook Sanu Tamang and two gardeners who used to visit the house two to three times a week for gardening — into custody on Monday. “The three are not cooperating very well.”
It’s been hard to establish the motive behind the murder, Singh said. Police may have to use the lie detector test as well. It may take some time but the investigation will unravel the truth, Singh said.
