Political leaders pay final tribute to Gauchan

KATHMANDU: Various political leaders including Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today paid their final tribute to Sharad Kumar Gauchan, President of the Federation of Contractors Association Nepal (FCAN) who was shot dead in broad daylight on Monday.

PM Deuba reached FCAN office in Anamnagar and extended tributes by wrapping his body with the national flag. The Prime Minister also expressed condolences to members of the bereaved family.

Similarly, Home Minister Janardan Sharma and Minister of State for Home Affairs Shyam Kumar Shrestha, Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation Bikram Pandey among others had paid their final tribute to Gauchan.

His body has been kept at the FCAN office premises for final tributes. His last rites will be performed at 4:00 pm at Pashupati Aryaghat, following Thakali tradition.
