Property gutted in Dakshinkali fire

KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 60,000 was gutted in a fire in Dallu, Daksinkali Muncipality-7 on the southern outskirts of Kathmandu Valley on Friday.

An electronic short circuit caused the fire at the hut built for the purpose of producing quilts and mattress, police said.

The blaze destroyed two sets of cotton rolling machines, an electricity meter and 10 kilograms of cotton.

Local people had taken the fire under control and police are looking into the incident.
