Paudel accuses ruling parties of clinging to power

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel on Wednesday accused the ruling parties of clinging to power rather than working to implement the Constitution.

Speaking at the Parliament meeting, Paudel said the local elections should take place as per the new Constitution's structure and made it clear that his party did not fear the elections.

Leader Paudel also drew the government's attention towards the urgency to dispatch Rs 200,000 meant for reconstruction of houses for the quake-stricken people underscoring their compulsion to live under open sky.

He extended tribute to the 12 Nepalis killed in the suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan and condolences to the bereaved family members.
