KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Energy has issued a public notice to seek clarifications from three officials of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) for obstructing the reform process initiated by NEA Managing Director Kulman Ghising.

Minister Sharma sought the clarifications from NEA Board members Manoj Kumar Mishra, Laxman Prasad Agrawal and Suraj Lamichhane within seven days.

The three would be legally penalised if the clarifications were not submitted within the given time period.

The notice was issued after the three NEA officials refused to accept the notice issued by the Ministry on Friday.

The three board members were found to have been working against work ethics and against the NEA Act, 2041, (1982).
