SLC chance exam results by next week: OCE

Bhaktapur, September 11

The Office of the Controller of Examinations is all set to announce the results for School Leaving Certificate supplementary exams by next week.

Talking to The Himalayan Times today, Bishnu Bahadur Dware, examination controller, OCE, said the office and its staff were working day and night to announce the results. He said despite difficulties in collecting answer sheets from various parts of the country due to the ongoing agitation in Tarai districts and protest launched by the Confederation of Nepalese Teachers, the OCE would publish the SLC supplementary results by next week.

“We are responsible for 124,251 students, who appeared in the SLC supplementary exams. Hence, we ignored obstacles and continued our work despite difficulties,” he said adding, “We don’t want to ruin students’ future by delaying the results.”

As per the decision of SLC board, the OCE had brought the answer-sheets, which were locked at various answer sheet correction centres in Lalitpur and Kathmandu districts, yesterday.

The CNT had padlocked the answer sheet correction centres in Lalitpur and Kathmandu as part of their protest against the government.

“We have already examined the answer-sheets of Bhaktapur and Kathmandu districts and the answer sheets from Lalitpur will also be checked within a few days,” said Dware. He further said that answer-sheets from Morang, Sunsari and Jhapa will also be flown in to Kathmandu today . “Thus, we are in final stage of preparing the results,” he said
