Students injured in Taukhel school out of danger

KATHMANDU: As many as 24 students who were injured at the Taukhel-based Pushpanjali School after an adjacent wall collapsed and hit its classrooms are out of danger, according the school officials. Two students were killed in the incident on Friday morning.

The Pushpanjali Secondary School organised a press conference to brief the media about the status of the injured students.

Four of the injured returned home, while 20 others are undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital and B&B Hospital of Lalitpur.

School Principal Puhami Kanta Bajracharya Lepcha said that the incident occurred due to rampant construction of wall in the neighbouring plot of land despite protests from the school.

She demanded to book the guilty at the earliest.
