KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 229,000 were stolen from a house in Maantarchok of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality-8 in Kathmandu district on Thursday, police said.

According to police, an unidentified gang broke into the rented room of Krishna Bahadur KC of Gauradaha Municipality-7 in Jhapa district and made off with various gold jewelleries.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway and search is on for the perpetrators, said police.
