Theft cases reported in various locations of Valley

KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday reported two cases of theft from assorted locations of Kathmandu Valley.

Property worth around Rs 150,000 were stolen from a room in Manjushree Tole of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-18 on Monday, police said.

According to police, an unidentified gang broke into the rented room of Suman Joshi of Dibyanagar in Chitwan district and made off with Rs 60,000 cash and various gold jewelleries.

Similarly, Rs 150,000 cash were stolen from a meat shop belonging to Dipak Nepal in Lokanthali of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-1 of Bhaktapur district on Monday.

Local police are looking into the case and searching for the absconding perpetrators, said police.
