Will rule for two full years, says PM Oli

POKHARA: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said his government would not topple for next two years.

Addressing local leaders and cadres of his party, in Pokhara, today, the confident CPN-UML Chairman said, "No any opposition can topple my government for next two years."

Oli urged all not to engage in any plot against his government and said, "Rather, other parties too can join the government under my leadership."

"This government will hold local to provincial elections after structuring the federal model," he said, "We will move ahead while implementing the Constitution."

Meanwhile, Oli said his government could not expedite development activities until now as it had to deal with the issues of post-earthquake reconstruction and the border blockade.

"Now, with the lifting of blockade," he assured, "The nation will speedily move ahead toward development."

The Prime Minister said his government would maintain friendly relations with both neighbours – India and China – so that they would extend support to Nepal's development activities.

He, however, maintained that he would not make any compromise on the issues of national sovereignty and national interests.

Meanwhile, Oli also inaugurated a new office building of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Kaski chapter, in Pokhara today.
