BHOJPUR:  One died and three others were injured when two motorcycles collided with each other in Nursing-1, Sunsari district along the East-West Highway on Saturday.

Police said that the tragedy occurred when the motorcycle (Ba 45 Pa 3040) heading towards west from east collided head-on with another motorcycle (Ko 6 Pa 3964) at around 5 pm yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as bike (Ba 45 Pa 3040) rider Armed Police Force Constable Dhirendra Jha of Bhardaha-3, Saptari and stationed at the Border Security Office in Rajbiraj, the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar informed.

Police said that Jha breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Inaruwa Hospital.

The injured have been identified as pillion rider of the bike (Ba 45 Pa 3040) APF Head Constable Shyam Lamsal of Gachiya-7, Morang and Dayananda Podar (40) and Arjun Sah of Inaruwa-1, Sunsari district, biker and pillion rider of the bike (Ko 6 Pa 3964).

Police informed that they are undergoing treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan and the Golden Hospital in Biratnagar.
